Underground Spaces for tomorrow

AFTES has decided to make the 2011 International Congress a student-friendly event that can provide a meeting
ground for field practitioners and students of civil engineering, regional development and urban planning.

Universities and schools of engineering have been invited to organise groups of students to participate in conference
activities during the day of their choice (17, 18 or 19 October 2011). Admission to the presentations and
exhibit hall will be free, and there will be a special, student-oriented presentation at the start of each day. The
exhibit hall, with its more than 150 exhibitors, will give students an opportunity to get to know the main players
in the world of underground works and spaces.
